On Jan 18th my friend Melissa and I drove to Saskatoon and met up with my friend Sandy to go and see Michael Buble!! It was a wonderful evening and just so fun to be with these 2! I will definately go again when he comes!

Here is another one of my FAV songs, that totally uplift me! East to West by Casting Crowns. The words are so powerful, and deals with what we ALL go through from time to time! Many times I feel like God should just give up on me, yet I know he never will. Which is why it is so important to give our lives to him everyday! I wrote out the lyrics and also included a video so that you could HEAR it! Sooo beautiful!

Fun and Mud, and Mud!!!!

Today I spent a wonderful afternoon with my cousin Barb!! She took me quading and what a BLAST!!!! Of course we laughed quite a bit, but it was just so fun! Here are a few pics!!

When we were in one field Babr and I thought we saw a hunter in the bush. After all what woulld be in the bush in a bright red toque and bright yellow coveralls??? Well, THIS was our hunter!!! LOL Too funny!! But it sure did look like a hunter from far away!!

What an awesome way to spend a Sunday afternoon!! Especially when I got to come home and have a warm bath!! lol Thanks for the GREAT day Barb!!! XOXO

Big 100th Birthday Celebration

Well today was my Aunt's 100th Birthday! Wow eh!! It was a wonderful day of visiting and remembering! All the aunts and uncles that are left on the Ganes side were there along with ALOT of cousinf and friends! Here are some pic's of the day! Enjoy!

Olden Days

I have been thinking alot about how so many of the big influences in my life are gone now. The people I grew up loving. The above picture is me with my Dad on the right(your right), and my uncle Ralph on the left(your left). These two were quite the characters. Silly until their end days. My uncle Ralph was a legend storyteller. I think I heard most of his stories 1000 times, but I loved every second of him telling me them. They are forever embedded in my heart. He also taught me some of my limited Norwegian! I loved him to my very core, as I think anyone who knew him did. A heart of pure gold! He had no kids but yet had 50 of them. All his neice and nephews adored him! It has been 3 years I believe since he has been gone and I miss him to this day!

My Dad, Tamer, was a quiet, dry sense of humour guy. He loved to have fun though! One of my fondest memories of him is how when we were sitting around the table at suppertime and I would say *Pass the Peas* or something...he would start rhyming. So that became the big thing, was to rhym as many times as you could! So silly, but dear to my heart now. At my Dad's funeral my uncle said that Dad used to go to the barn to pray for his kids. I guess this was his alone, quiet time. I never ever knew that. I can only imagine how many times he prayed for me. I am so blessed to have had such a caring God fearing father. I miss him so much still.

Another one of those special people was my aunt Thelma. ANYONE who knew her loved her. She had a special gift of hospitality, much like my own Mom. I always felt extremely special in her eyes. I think she made everyone feel that way. It is 2 Years this month since she has been gone. She was such an inspiration in her last days. She could not wait to go home to be with God! She wanted everyone to be happy for her! I remember standing by her bedside and starting to cry....she shook her finger at me and said not to be sad for her because she KNEW where she was going. She was one in a million.

My Mom and her were the bestest of friends! Mom has never been the same since Thelma passed on. I think her lonliness for her is just SO deep. She is really aging, but manages very well! She is 82 now. The thing she enjoys the most is having her family around her, and especially the 2 little babies! Many times I miss the *olden days* where all my loved ones were here and well. But how can I be sad when they are at home in heaven, probably having coffee with their dear friends and family......and maybe even some Kompa!!! (we can only wish) haha.

Just a little trip down memory lane! Thanks for reading! *huggs*

Well here I am, home early from work due to a nasty blizzard outside. I took some pic's although I do not think they do justice. We were sent home early from work. The snow on the deck and the walkway to my house was up over my knees!! This was 3 hours ago!! I am thinking it might be my waist by morning!! Yikes!! My car is stuck on the street by my work and Melissa's hunny Willie gave us a ride home in a 4x4. Thank goodness!! haha Its crazy out there. Highways are closed, zero visibility. I am just thankful to have a cozy warm place to come home to and be safe in! Praise the Lord!! Whats the weather like where YOU are???

I bought David Phelp's cd *Life Is a Church*. It is amazing, but there is one song that struck me like a lightning bolt. God can work in MANY ways, and for me it is especially in music. I guess he made me an avid music lover, so that is what he uses to reach me sometimes. I want to share the lyrics with you......

I have struggled many times with the decisions of my past and not being able to let go and forgive myself. That is why this song struck such a chord. God WILL and DOES forgive!! He loves us, ALL of us. Please check out this cd or song. It is truly wonderful and uplifting!

Harvest Time in Saskatchewan

Well, it is harvest in Saskatchewan...make that a very LATE harvest. I ADORE harvest time. It brings back so many memories of my Dad and fun nights out in the grain truck. Some of those night were not THAT fun since alot of mice ended up in the trucks.......*shiver* I am SO petrified of mice...I cannot even tell you!!!! How silly I know, to be scared of these tiny creatures.
It is a pretty cold day today but you could still smell the harvest in the air! MMMMMMMM I had to go out and take some pictures to share. This is my cousin Gordon Cochrane's outfit. I think they were pretty much done at this site. Hope you enjoy!!
